This piece examines the notion of trading “the beauty” from the perspectice of women enslaved for prostitution. The dolls were outsourced from underdeveloped Asian countries – the same ones as these from which women are being brought against their will to Europe and United States. Snake heads are aware that these women have no choice but to do almost anything to survive. They take advantage of their poverty and insecurity.
