Object-installation, series of photographs. The cobweb is both a white, lacey dress and an object in the shape of a spider’s web. A woman wearing the dress can function both as a temptress or as an entrapped victim. Even if the dress is a cobweb, the question is – who is the woman caught within? Is she a victim, a bait or a torturer? The motif of a spider-woman can be found in the beliefs of the Hopi Indian tribe. According to their mythology, the world was created by Grandma Spider Woman, and the culmination of the act of creation was to teach people to weave wicker baskets.
