The story about floating away and coming back

She sets a sail, but in same time stays connected with a land. The end the thread is attached to the shore. She floats away, sway on the waves, gently pushed with a wind.

If she wants to come back, she needs to make an effort. Instead of oaring through the waves she crochets. She makes up yarn, which connects her with the land. It brings her closer and closer to the shore. Creating textile she comes back home.

If she is willing to float again, pushed gently with a wind and waves, she needs to rip her work. The end of the textile’s thread stays attached to the shore. It gives her possibility to come back, if she only wants to.

On and on again…

till the day when she will let the thread go…

she won’t come back…

Kopanka – Krakow, Krakow – Kopanka – action on a ferry.

The ferry connects two river banks, Krakow – the city and Kopanki – the village. People “from the countryside” are going to Krakow every morning, to perform low-paid, invisible and under appreciated work.They embark at dawn – losing home or freed from it.
